YouTube-Video

The Black Périgord is in the south East of the Dordogne situated between the Quercy and the Limousin.

Crossed by the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, The Black Périgord is a magical and radiant land where an abundance of outdoor and leisure activities can be experienced.

Its capital, Sarlat, a town where Art and History abound, is home to an architectural heritage of inestimable richness. Lascaux II is a site of international renown. This charming destination harbours treasures that beg to be discovered : natural prehistoric caves and chasms and enchanting castles and manor houses etc.

The Perigordian territory has been among the most generous. A veritable paradise of truffles, wild mushrooms, pâtés, conserves and fine country fare. As everyone says, at every turn, you will come across the varied flavours of the black Périgord.

In the black Périgord, you will rediscover those days when people had all the time in the world. Time to amble in the tranquil green countryside, time to stroll down pretty little streets, time for an afternoon nap under an old alder tree, time for a trip by canoe, or a bike or horse ride, or simply the time to recharge your batteries in a protected environment.

You will soon be living by the rhythm of the sunshine... Throughout the year and more so in the season, the Black Périgord offers a variety of quality cultural experiences.
